Step aside Michigan State and Ohio State the Michigan basketball team is joining you atop of the Big Ten Conference.
With the Wolverines (23-8, 13-5 Big Ten) 71-65 win over Penn State (12-19, 4-14 Big Ten) and the Buckeyes (25-6, 13-5 Big Ten) last second 72-70 win over the Spartans (24-7, 13-5 Big Ten) on Sunday the three teams all tied with the same Big Ten record giving them all a share of the title. After beating rival No. 8 Ohio State Saturday night the No. 13 rated Michigan basketball team is feeling pretty good.
The Wolverines are currently third in the Big Ten and has their best rank nationally since 1997.
That is all fine and great but it won’t mean a thing if they can’t finish out the Big Ten schedule.
Yes, it has the easier road to finish out the season in comparison to No. 6 Michigan State and the Buckeyes, but the Big Ten this season is one of, if not, the best conference and Michigan has to hit the road for three of the last four games.
Starting Tuesday the Wolverines head to Welsh-Ryan Arena to face a desperate Northwestern team who is ridding the bubble for a tournament bid and a win Tuesday could secure that bid. Continue reading

It was a big day for the Michigan football program Wednesday as it turned in its best recruiting class since 2005.
According to scouts.com the Wolverines ranked No. 4 in the nation just behind rival Ohio State. It’s the programs best recruiting class since ranking No. 2 in 2005. Continue reading

It’s been home sweet home for the No. 22 Michigan basketball team as it improved to 13-0 in Crisler Arena Wednesday.

Foul trouble and rebounds haunted No. 20 Michigan in its fifth road loss of the season at No. 4 Ohio State 64-49.
